Post 397 Captains Announced
Coach Krueger has announced the following seniors to help lead the Post 397 team and the DGF Baseball program in 2024. Pitcher/Outfielder Austin Anderson is the son of Dave and Brenda Anderson, Pitcher/Shortstop Landon Johnson is the son of Shane Johnson and Mandy Jessen, and Pitcher/Infielder Peyton Aas is the son of Corey and Colleen Aas. These three seniors will help lead a deep senior class collectively in the upcoming summer season.

HomeRun 5K
The DGF Baseball Club's American Legion Post 397 team will be holding its 3rd Annual "HomeRun 5K" to raise funds for their Battle of Omaha / College World Series 2024 trip this summer.
The event will take place on the streets of Dilworth on Saturday, May 4, 2024. The race begins at 9:00am. All participants gather and check-in at the Bob Marshall Field parking lot where the race starts and ends.

MVP of Police Officers
Humble. Consistent. Teammate. MVP. All words to describe DGF Post 397 Alumni Jacobe Stetz. Officer Stetz was the Legion team's special guest tonight following practice and a team meal in preparation for this week's NW Sub State Tournament. Officer Stetz shared his positive experiences of playing DGF baseball, "managing your emotions, and playing for this year, because next year is no guarantee."
He talked about his Legion team's playoff run and winning the 2019 State Championship. He played a video of the final double-play that he stills has on his phone capturing the emotion and sounds of winning the tournament.
Officer Stetz was named the 2019 State Tournament Most Valuable Player, but its an award he doesn't want to take credit for because being humble and a great teammate describe him. Just like being honored as a Police Officer for his aid in a life saving rescue at Serenity Assisted Living Center, he doesn't want to take any credit.
The players had an opportunity to hear more about the role of a police officer in our community. The team asked him many interesting questions, that he graciously answered. Officer Stetz took a photo with the team and gave them a peak at the technology and tools inside a police vehicle to help him do his job while on patrol. Thank you Officer Stetz for being our special guest tonight and sharing your baseball playing experiences and your role as a Police Officer and keeping our community safe!

Our program will use baseball as a platform to teach our core values and life lessons to young men in a team environment that is positive, challenging and fun. Our program will encourage, demonstrate, and foster a culture of team and unity among players, coaches, parents/guardians, alumni, fans and our Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton communities.
